With over two decades of leadership experience spanning both military service and executive-level human resources in the private sector, Jason brings a rare blend of discipline, empathy, and strategic insight to every client engagement. He founded Helm & Anchor HR Consulting LLC with a clear mission: to help organizations build resilient, people-centered workplaces where leadership is intentional, culture is cultivated, and every employee feels valued.
Jason’s professional journey began in the United States military, where he spent 21 years leading diverse teams in high-stakes environments. His military career wasn’t just about command—it was about connection. He became known for his ability to build trust, develop talent, and lead with integrity under pressure. Whether mentoring Sailors or managing complex operations, Jason consistently demonstrated that strong leadership starts with strong relationships.
After retiring from active duty, Jason transitioned into the private sector, where he gained executive level HR leadership experience. His experience spans organizational development, talent strategy, compliance, and change management. He has led initiatives that transformed culture, improved retention, and aligned HR practices with long-term business goals. Jason’s approach is both strategic and human—he understands that behind every policy is a person, and behind every challenge is an opportunity to lead better.
At Helm and Anchor, Jason offers services that reflect his core strengths: HR consultation, leadership and management training, workplace investigations, employee handbook development, and policy review and creation. He works closely with business owners, executives, and HR teams to deliver solutions that are not only compliant and effective, but also deeply aligned with organizational values.
Jason also brings a powerful academic foundation to his work, holding a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies and professional certifications including the aPHR and PHR. These credentials deepen his expertise in employment law, compliance, and ethical HR practices—ensuring that every solution he delivers is not only effective, but legally sound and aligned with industry standards.
